I always try to have recipes with definite amounts, but this
time I am going to leave it up to you and your tastes. I made this recipe for a family reunion a few
weeks ago with broccoli fresh out of my garden and was asked by several family
members for the recipe. I hope you find
a balance that your family will enjoy.
June is National Dairy Month. Although this recipe doesn’t focus on cheese
it certainly made this salad better.
Most broccoli salads use a mayonnaise base for the dressing, but my farmer
does NOT eat mayo, so I went in search of a different dressing to use. After looking at several recipes online and
what was in my pantry on that particular day I came up with this tasty recipe
that was hard for me to stop eating straight out of the bowl.
Bacon Broccoli Salad
Fresh Broccoli Florets
Thinly Sliced Red or White Onion
Crisp Fried Bacon, crumbled
Red Wine Vinegrette Dressing
Freshly grated Parmesan Cheese,
-A Kansas Farm Mom
I normally see this same recipe except it has mayo and raisins in it. I like this light version.
